This is well beyond the scope of the course-- there are entire subfields of physics and engineering (fluid mechanics) devoted to detailed understanding and description of the behavior of fluids and objects interacting with fluids. There is a little bit about fluid mechanics at the end of your textbook, but we won't get there. If you are interested, you can take dedicated courses on this topic.
