What do we make of the second equation of motion, $F_r = - mR\dot{\phi}^2$ in the final example with the skateboard?

We didn't need the radial Newton's second law equation to find $\phi(t)$ in this case, which is what we were after. However, if, say, we were interested in the normal force on the skateboard, we could use it to find that force.
