Our research group at Duke has developed a set of N-body codes
mainly targeted at Molecular Dynamics. The code, called DPMTA,
is a hybrid Greengard/Rohklin FMM method and runs under PVM.

While not Barnes/Hutt, DPMTA *can* be turned into a O(NlogN) treecode
with a little effort (but I don't see why you would want to do this).

We also have an Particle Mesh Ewald (PME) code that runs under MPI
and PVM.

see: http://www.ee.duke.edu/Research/SciComp for more info.

Hope this helps,
