In general, problem sets will be first posted here on Thursdays, and due the following Thursday in class. Solutions will be posted as soon as they are available. No late problem sets will be accepted, short of a Dean's excuse. However one (and only one) problem set grade will be dropped from your total.
You will be held to the Duke Community Standard for your homework solutions. It's fine-- in fact encouraged -- to collaborate with others when working on solutions, but please write down the names of your collaborators on your homework set. It is not okay to copy solutions from others; your written solutions must be in your own words. It is also not okay to look up solutions from previous years or from the web.
Pay attention to details like units and significant figures where appropriate, and please write clearly. If it's a struggle to read what you have written, the grader is justified in taking off points.
If you use a computer to do any calculations, please include appropriate printouts, e.g., Matlab or Mathematica programs.
