Treetrunks

Treetrunks climb
like living pillars
To the roof
we call the sky.
Man in all
his witless wisdom
Doesn't know
the reason why.

Do not seek
to find the reason.
Never lost,
it won't be found.
Truth is not
in tome or treatise
Nor rootless
deep within the ground.

Rain is real
and summer lightening,
Winter snow
and autumn frost;
Seek the truth
within the seasons,
Not in words
or echoes lost.
