The Sum Rules

Suppose $ f$ and $ g$ are scalar functions and $ \vA$ and $ \vB$ are vector functions. Then:

$\displaystyle \grad(f+g) = \grad f + \grad g $

$\displaystyle \deldot(\vA + \vB) = \deldot \vA + \deldot \vB $

$\displaystyle \curl(\vA + \vB) = \curl \vA + \curl \vB $
