There are long-standing motivations for the believe in the existence of (pseudo-)scalar bosons beyond the SM. A boson exchange with scalar (g_s) and pseudo-scalar (g_p) coupling is particularly interesting since this combination induces macroscopic CP violating forces. Several high-precision experiments have already put stringent constraints on the product g_s g_p. Since such boson exchange induces an EDM, additional constraints on g_s g_p can be obtained with distinct different dependence on the mediated force range. I will show how those complementary EDM constraints in the case of Schiff moment bounds on 199Hg compare with other recent high-precision bounds.
