PHY 465: Quantum Mechanics II

Course Description

This is an advanced undergraduate course on quantum mechanics with applications to current research. Topics that we may cover include: the theory of angular momentum, role of symmetry in quantum mechanics, path integral formulation of quantum mechanics, perturbation methods, scattering theory, elementary field quantization, systems of identical particles, and quantum entanglement with applications to quantum computation and quantum information theory.

Prerequisites:

PHY 464 or equivalent
